I enjoy the reading responce part of the lesson. I have a creative side and like to do crafts and things. I work with students who dont read at all or read at a very low level. One year we studied Sea Life and we made a giant book that the students colored and added information that they learned. Another thing we do is make puppets and act out the story or even add to it and make another chapter to the book. You can really get a feel for what the children have learned Drawing and acting out can help the students demonstrate what they know with out having to write it down.
I like all the stories really but the sweetest fig probably topped the list. It was easy to understand and I think I could have fun doing a project with it.

My son showed me this website that gave the traditional meanings behind the colors in the family crests.

COLORS
Even the colors can have special meaning in a "family crest" or coat of arms:
Gold (Or) Generosity and elevation of the mind
Silver or White (Argent) Peace and sincerity
Red (Gules) Warrior or martyr; Military strength and magnanimity
Blue (Azure) Truth and loyalty
Green (Vert) Hope, joy, and loyalty in love
Black (Sable) Constancy or grief
Purple (Purpure) Royal majesty, sovereignty, and justice
Orange (Tawny or Tenne) Worthy ambition
Maroon (Sanguine or Murray) Patient in battle, and yet victorious

Teaching student different ways of developing an idea is important. I ha teacher try to force me to do an outline. I can't outline a paper. If I brainstorm and look at it then I can make a list. That is how I have to do it. Students may have to do things different as well. I believe in creativity and putting a personal touch to make your work yours. People are not cookies that can be cut from a mold and students need to know that it is alright to be alittle different.
That is one word to describe me, Different, as well as creative, loving, open, and loyal.

Do Men ever grow up?
So I Get a Phone call from my son at the fire station where my husband was hanging out. "Where are you and how long until you get here?" Well that is usually my que to get there as soon as possible. They have been acting stupid and rough housing around and my hubby fell. He broke his right arm. Now in case you haven't noticed I am in a sling and not supposed to use my arm. I keep telling him he wants the attention. I know he hates this but really I have enough to do. I don't need more work. I love him to death but this is enough.

Ok So I'm Pissy Today!
I tried to sign on to my MSN account. I can't remember my password so they e-mailed it to me! Does that make sence to anyone! If I don't know my password I can't get to my e-mail to get it right. These people are nuts. They asked me a sercret question. I set that thing up years ago I don't remember what it was. I don't remember my own name many days. How should I remember stupid stuff. I sent them any e-mail through their "help center" and told them what I thought of thier bright idea. I wonder if they will send me a reply?

blog 1
I never realized that language arts was broken down into different parts. Seeing how it was broken down makes it cleared how to teach it. I also like seeing the different way the word wall was used. Working in the school I have seen many word walls but they were usually put up and forgotten or just put up for show to begin with. I have learned so much already.
